Home
Siddi households follow the joint-extended family system that can include up to 13 members, which is needed as they are primarily agrarian. Family relationships are held to be of utmost importance and the house often serves as a place of counsel for disputes.
Their small but colourful homes are typically low-thatched and consist of one large open room that serves as a living space, sleeping room, kitchen, and sometimes, an added section for cattle.
