One of the brightest sparks to have come out of the cooperative is the establishment of day-care schools. This has been made possible by international humanitarian sponsors who first heard about India's African diaspora from seeing or buying the quilts made by the cooperative. In addition to receiving a rudimentary education, the children are assured of one square meal a day and the parents know their young are in capable hands
